New York Tri-State Regional Support Group For X+/Y+ Chromosomal Disorders For families and individuals of all ages affected by XXY (Klinefelter Syndrome), XXX, (Trisomy X) XYY, and variations 10 am to 3:30 pm (registration 9:30 am) Sunday, September 21, 2008 The Wang Center Stony Brook University Stony Brook, NY 11794 Speaker: Rhoshel Lenroot, MD National Institutes of Health Dr. Lenroot will speak about the neuroimaging and neurocogitive studies underway at NIMH on individuals with XXY, XXX and XYY and variations. Additional presentation topics to be announced, possibly Ask the Doctor and What You Need to Know about Preparation for Adulthood Support group discussions to follow lunch. We need volunteer leaders for groups including parents of young children, parents of adolescents, families of XXX girls, families of XYY boys, adult XXY men, etc. Please respond if you are willing to be a support group leader for the day. A contribution of $20 per person is suggested to pay for the costs of coffee, tea, soda, a box lunch, and incidentals, etc. There are no facilities for children at the Wang Center, and it is full of hard granite surfaces as well as pools and fountains. If you bring children under twelve years, please bring activities and a person who can supervise them.
